Margate Football Club is proud to host the Margate Learning Zone, and exciting and innovative education centre for the children of Thanet. The Department of Children, Schools and Families have joined forces with Kent County Council and Margate FC to allow the Playing for Success scheme to benefit children in the region, boosting their key skills in Numeracy, Literacy and ICT.The best part is, it’s all for free!

Ed Balls the Secretary of State for Children, Education and Families said this about the Playing for Success inititative:
"The work of Playing for Success centres, supporting children's' education in a tailored way, closely corresponds with our own vision of the future of learning - personalised around the needs of each and every child. In addition, centres are increasingly forming part of the Extended Schools services offered by local authorities, and Playing for Success continues to contribute to each of the five outcomes for young people identified in Every Child Matters."
